iKunnect Voice: the UCaaS layer of the iKunnect platform
A mid-market IT leader sits down to renew the company's UCaaS contract. The phones work, mostly. The bigger problem is what sits next to UCaaS in the diagram. The contact center runs on a different vendor stack. Two contracts, two billing cycles, two account teams, two integration projects every time the business asks for something new. When customer-experience leadership asks for a unified view of voice across the company, the answer is always the same: it would require a new integration project, and it would take a quarter.
iKunnect Voice is the UCaaS layer of the iKunnect platform. It runs on the same voice engine that powers the contact-center side of the platform. For a buyer evaluating UCaaS today who can already see contact-center capability coming up in twelve to twenty-four months, that shared fabric is the difference between a clean future and a second integration project.
What i
Kunnect Voice is
iKunnect Voice exposes the iKunnect platform's voice engine as a standalone UCaaS product. The same telephony fabric that handles 2.4 million customer interactions a year across iKunnect's contact-center deployments runs the voice calls, conferencing, and softphone traffic for iKunnect Voice customers. Standalone deployment means a buyer can take the UCaaS piece on its own, on its own commercial terms, without committing to the contact-center layer until the business is ready.
What's in the product
The standard iKunnect Voice deployment covers the full UCaaS scope:
-
Voice. Inbound and outbound calling, fully managed. SIP trunking, number porting from the incumbent carrier, and integration with the customer's existing identity provider are part of the standard deployment.
-
Audio conferencing. Multi-party audio conferencing for internal meetings and external customer calls.
-
Voicemail. Voicemail with transcription, so messages can be read in the softphone client or in email.
-
Softphone clients. Desktop clients (macOS and Windows) and mobile clients (iOS and Android) connect to the same user account, so calls follow the user across devices.
-
Multilingual real-time translation (optional add-on). Real-time bidirectional voice translation across 150+ languages. Available as an add-on to the standard voice deployment for customers whose internal teams or customer base operate across language lines. Powered by the same OneMeta-integrated translation layer that runs across the rest of the iKunnect platform, with regional dialect coverage across Spanish (Cuban, Venezuelan, Mexican, Castilian), Portuguese, Mandarin, and more.
The unified-fabric advantage
The strategic value of iKunnect Voice sits one layer below the product itself. Because Voice runs on the same telephony fabric as iKunnect's contact-center layer, a customer who starts with UCaaS today can extend into contact-center workflows later without a vendor handoff, a new integration project, or a separate billing relationship.
In practice that means a customer who picks iKunnect Voice for the phone system this year can, eighteen months from now, light up an inbound customer-service queue on the same platform, with the same identity model, the same admin console, the same telephony numbers, and the same billing relationship. The agents, supervisors, workforce management, and QA discipline that Invictus runs on the BPO side of the business can plug in directly. The decision to operate the contact center in-house or as a managed-services engagement with Invictus is a separate one, made on its own merits, at the time the business is ready.
For a buyer who anticipates that future, this shared fabric is the entire point. The alternative is a phone-system renewal today and a separate vendor selection, separate integration project, and separate change-management cycle for the contact-center layer a year or two from now.
Compared with point-solution UCaaS
iKunnect Voice competes with RingCentral, Zoom Phone, Microsoft Teams Phone, and 8x8 on the UCaaS layer itself. Each of those products solves the unified-communications problem cleanly. The difference is what happens at the boundary.
A buyer running RingCentral or Zoom Phone who later wants contact-center capability has two options: stand up that vendor's separate contact-center product (a new integration project, a different operating model, a separate billing line), or bring in a third vendor and integrate the two. The integration tax shows up in three places: the project itself, the recurring effort to keep the integration current as both vendors release changes, and the operational friction of running customer-facing voice on two different fabrics.
iKunnect Voice is a different starting point for buyers who anticipate that need or who already have it. The UCaaS product is the same product as the contact-center product, sold separately. A buyer can adopt the UCaaS layer today on standard UCaaS terms, and extend into contact-center workflows on the same platform when the business is ready.
Deployment
Standard iKunnect Voice deployments configure in hours to days. The deployment cadence covers SIP trunking, number porting from the incumbent carrier, and integration with the customer's identity provider for single sign-on and user provisioning. The platform-only configuration model is the same one iKunnect uses across the rest of the platform: the underlying integrations to telephony, identity, and the customer's existing tools are handled inside the standard go-live, not as a separate integration project.
For customers who add the multilingual translation layer, the translation engine activates within the same deployment cadence.
Pricing
iKunnect Voice prices per user, per seat. The multilingual translation layer prices separately as an add-on, billed per user or per translated minute depending on the deployment shape. Customers who scope a contact-center deployment alongside the UCaaS layer move onto the platform's broader pricing model, which composes per-seat, per-interaction, and outcome-based shapes against the customer's operating profile.
Security and compliance
The iKunnect platform runs under SOC 2 Type II controls in production. Every call, conference, and recording handled by iKunnect Voice is governed by those controls. For regulated use cases, the platform also operates HIPAA controls for healthcare voice and PCI DSS controls for financial-services voice where cardholder data flows over the line. Healthcare customers run on the HIPAA-controlled instance with full audit logging on every contact. Financial-services customers run under PCI DSS for cardholder-data flows.
The compliance posture is in production on the platform today against 2.4 million customer interactions per year. It is not a roadmap item.
Where i
Kunnect Voice fits
iKunnect Voice is the natural starting point for buyers who already see their UCaaS and contact-center investments converging. A buyer who needs UCaaS today and contact-center capability in the next eighteen to twenty-four months can adopt the UCaaS layer now and extend into the contact-center workflow later on the same platform. A buyer who runs the contact center on a different vendor today and is preparing to consolidate has a clean migration path: bring UCaaS onto the same fabric as the eventual contact-center layer, on the customer's timeline, in the customer's sequence.
For buyers who genuinely want UCaaS as a point solution and have no expectation of ever running a contact center, the standard UCaaS market is well-served by the existing players. iKunnect Voice is built for the cohort that sees the convergence coming and wants to start on the right fabric.
